FIBA IOT Manual
On May 12, 2022 FIBA Announced (on an ELITE OFFICIALS PROGRAM Webinar) that changes to the IOT Manual were being published within two weeks.
The changes and the new Cylinder Play (foul) signal and the new Goaltending / Basket Interference signal should be used immediately. That is the implementation is now.
With camps, clinics and on-going summer basketball it feels important to ensure the information is made available to all.
We have built the attached PPT (below) to describe the changes.
The IOT Manual changes are not new procedures as such but rather are consistent with our existing procedures, just not detailed in the IOT Manual.
The two new signals from OBR2022 impact existing rules – and as such can be used immediately.
